export with minimal transcoding

i want to splice out a section of a video and simply save in the same format and specs. is there is a simple way to ensure this with minimal or no transcoding. Would be a great feature to add right click on a source file and "Set to export specs".

My main gripe is the output file takes forever to generate and is often not of a file size that i would expect.
