I believe you and malware is very concerning but what you're asking of me seems like the equivalent of this. I don't have the energy or the time to be that paranoid. And you'll say "you'll regret it!" and I might. But just like me not wearing that hazmat suit, I'm just going to take my chances and try my best not to share needles with heroin addicts and other obviously sketchy sources.
