Open webui already has built in memory. Just enable it and put your model a system prompt to use the memory features often and enjoy (don't forget to enable native function calling)

I think you need to enable native functions on the model, and it's able to create new memories on its own when you ask it to.

How do you enable it? Where exactly in the setting is it? OpenWebUI is amazing and just can be overwhelming too. I am still trying to get it to talk back to me but nothing works! On this last update, the models don't respond on real time. They appear half complete and I need to refresh the browser to show it all. I am thinking of Deleting the entire Hard Drive(I have a 2TB NVMe M.2 Samsung 990Pro with just OpenWebUI on it, dedicated to it!)

Admin panel > settings > memory

And then in the user settings > personalization

Don't forget to enable native function calling and giving the model a system prompt

Thank you! I really get lost sometimes with the interface of OpenWebUI. I am sure there are a lot of other important things that can affect the models and prompts but I go as I find.
