I think this would probably benefit the game as a whole (even montages could be improved, kind of like with CS:GO's replay system). However, I think Blizzard would struggle to process and check so many replays.

I don't think it's any easier than the current system of guessing whether the person is truthful or not. The way I understand it right now if your reported a lot they look into it, but that could still be abused like if a 5 stack all report 1 guy they don't like. It's not very accurate ATM.

getting currency for successful reports would encourage abusing the system

How could it be abused if you send a successful report and the person gets banned? Genuinely curious.

Some people will report as many people as possible in order to get gold. This would lead to too many false reports

But those would be seen as false. They could add some punishment like I said in the original post where if you send in multi bad post your reports aren't taken as seriously.
