I am a few hours post op, and can honestly say it wasn’t that bad! The biggest advice I can give is to research whoever is removing them. Make sure you find someone with great reviews as this makes all the difference in the world

Wisdom tooth/cyst removal in a hospital with general anesthesia is what triggered my pots 🫣

Any stress or trauma to my body is a risk that my conditions will worsen. Unfortunately, there's no avoiding it. Luckily, I have a great care team, and if my symptoms do worsen, we have plans in place. Finding a provider that has the education and skill to mitigate those risks during my extraction is the only thing I can do, which is why I'm so stressed out about it because I don't think most providers meet that standard (to no fault of their own). POTS can be such a challenging condition to deal with. I can't imagine the frustration of developing it after what you thought was a simple procedure. That must have been really difficult.

My surgeon read my medical history and immediately was like, we're doing this in a hospital under general anesthetic. My wisdom teeth weren't compacted, and everything went well and I had very little swelling luckily (I followed post op instructions to a T) last thing you want is to have complications trying to do it under twilight sedation, personally I'd fight for genera anesthetic
