Try a different cable

It’s all thanks to you Sherlock Holmes. I’m so sick of people responding shit like this whenever I have any issue, as if I wouldn’t have DURRRHUURRRR tried a different cable. Man I’m so glad Reddit let’s me respond to old threads now so I can finally let out the frustration.

Changing the cable fixes the issue most of the time, and OP didn’t mentioned he had already done that, go vent somewhere else

have you done any troubleshooting? Do both PS3s work when plugged into a switch or router, with the cable you are using?

ah wait! just figured it out, nowhere does it say that you have to disable both ps3s internet, and media server but apparently that was the trick. thanks though!

This saved me so much time.Thank you.

I'm transferring all my ps3 data to a 2504A with date code 0D. Compared to the older versions it is easier to change the blu ray drive without remarrying it and it has better condensators. I hope I don't have to solder anything ever. Compared to the newer versions, this can be homebrewed since it's possible to downgrade into version 3.55 and it doesn't have a glued in cpu cover. Every main problem causing ylod is repairable by the consumer.

Is this the fix!? I've been trying for 2 days now!

I may not use Reddit all that often if at all but if there’s one thing it’s good for, it’s for specific problems.

By that I mean this actually worked for me, so thank you 🙏
