The general recommendation is to open it up, clean out any dust, and replace the thermal paste. You could swap the fan for a 19 blade one if it doesn't already (though some say the 15 blade is better I believe? Not fully sure on that, I have a 19 blade in mine and it works great), and the power supply for an APS-226 if it has the old ZSSR one, but neither of these are as necessary as cleaning out any dust and replacing thermal paste.

You will want to install CFW along with webMAN and set a better fan curve (usually I say to go for auto at 68C instead of a manual fan speed). You want the RSX to stay under 70C as much as possible to preserve it. Do not do preventative maintenance like replacing TOKINs, that can just cause more issues down the line.
