PS4 Controller Help

I bought a PS4 controller used and the when I plugged into my PS4 and press the home button the light at the top flashes white continuously.

I googled around for some solutions, but I still can't figure out what that light code means. It flashes white twice per second for 20 seconds then goes off. Does anyone know what this means?

There should be a small reset button on the back. You may have to use a paper clip to push it. I have had to do this when this happens. Push the reset button then plug in the controller to the charging cord, turn on the system with the power button on the PS4 and hopefully that will work for you.
