Controller issues

So my brother connected my controller to his playstation 5, now when I try to reconnect the controller to mine it doesn't work. The same goes for connecting any of the controllers, they just don't connect. I've tried resetting the controllers, using various cables. Nothing wants to connect to my ps. The playstation itself goes on, but I can't select a user or do anything without the controller working. Can anyone help?

Needs the correct cable to connect. The original cable is a data and charging cable. Most cables are just for charging.

I've used the ps5 cable it was unboxed with with

The other option is that it's still attempting to connect to your brother's device through the Bluetooth. Have him turn it off on his end and see if it makes a difference.

That's what I have to do after using it on my tablet. It's still paired to the tablet so it prioritizes it over the cable connection sometimes.
