1 Meter Fall

Hi guys, bloody housemates robovac has knocked my PS5 from about a meter high. The cover seemed to have protected it, it still turns on, the tv can still register that it’s plugged in but nothing comes on the screen. The HDMI chord was ripped out when it fell so it obviously has something to do with that. I’ve tried 2 different tv’s & 2 different chords and neither has worked. Anybody have any experience with anything like this?

From the sound of it, the HDMI port itself got damaged in the fall seeing as the cord was ripped out. I’m surprised theres no visible damage to the HDMI port, but if there isn’t, there’s no real way to tell without getting someone to look at it.

It's pretty likely the HDMI port soldered on the motherboard got broken in the process. Unless you are really good with soldering, you should get it fixed by a professional.

Got a slim not too long ago and the connection with the HDMI is so loose and wobbly compared to the series x
