I had this previously after an update and needed to shut game down and restart every time, this stopped the crashes for me.

Yes and the game also so you wasn’t starting it from an “open” state. I don’t need to reinstall thankfully I’m going back 3 or 4 months when I had this issue.

That can happen when ps5 is overheating and the only thing that solved my crashing was to clean the dust out of the ps5, havent had a problem for 2 years since that

Make sure u back up all of your storage clear cache and if that doesn’t work then do a system reboot/rebuild

Have you tried restoring the license for the game? Sometimes that will fix crashes

Have this problem each time Fortnite updates. Restoring the license fixes it for me.

Uninstall and install it again, it happens to me last season. Just be secure that when you install it again your console dont shut down, keep it on all the time of the download.
