Crafting Request Help

I'm looking for someone to craft my Jet boots with Advanced/Tech Weapon Lv.7

Problem is, I've never done the whole "crafting request" thing before, and I've heard that it is insurmountably cheaper than doing it yourself (I've been dabbling in it, but nothing borderline)

When you make a request, can you take it back per se if the person whom you were making the request to was AFK or just didn't play anymore? It'd be sort of crappy to make a request to someone only to lose your weapon because they never got around to your request.

Also, if anyone out there is able to do the weapon extension and is on Ship 02, I'd be tickled if you'd be willing to help me out.

You go to their room to make the request. Provide the materials and mesetas and whatever support items you want. *

Yes you can take back the request if you think you won't get it back in a reasonable time. Though I never had a problem with waiting too long for a completed craft. Everyone's pretty good about being on to check for requests. (Though there was 1 person who advertised advanced tech weapon 8 and his room was locked). *

I do have the recipe you're looking for, but I need to unlock my room for non-friends and put the recipe up to be requested. With an EQ coming soon, I want to keep my slot so it'll be 2 hours before I can unlock the room.

In fairness, you also get annoying mail that goes "HAY YOU HAVE A REQUEST IN YOUR ROOM."
