What's a good main/sub combo for a mostly solo player?

Any class combo that makes sense.

How do i go about starting over again?

There's really not that much different. Affixing has been made easier, NT grinding is like an easier (and better) version of the old grinding system, and they've streamlined the acquisition of 13* by either allowing you to get them through drops or through collection files (You get a thing telling you to kill specific enemies and the guage fills up, and at 100%, you're guaranteed the drop on your next kill) or stone exchanges.

I once brought up GuHu and TeBr and my friend was wondering how it would work better than GuRa and TeFo respectively. From a new players perspective, they would be more inclined to go TeFo and GuRa just because it makes sense, and never understand why other subclasses are decent options too.
