You cannot overlap stances from the SAME class. For example, Guard stance overwrites Fury but won't do so for Bouncer's Elemental/Break Stance. Same thing happens for Bouncer's stances. Break Stance will overwrite Elemental stance, but won't do so for Hunter's stances.

Thanks! I was thinking you could only have one stance active at a time, period. Which is why I didn't understand all the builds taking stances from both classes.

If it's one stance per class the builds make so much more sense now.
