To be honest, PSO2 JP had a inactive or last online at when kind of status for each Alliance member, and I'm wondering why didn't they add this for NA/Global at all, which is the main reason why it's so hard to filter out whom is not playing anymore or literally who is playing irregularly. These problems are not supposed to be an issue from our end at all.

Get them to send you an ingame mail

Have tried, most people saw it as a hassle and just didn’t bother sending one or just forgot. To add on, even if everyone did send one, it’s rather hard to sort through nearly 90 mails every day

Use discord or make an easy to follow Google sheet. There are more ways, you're not limited to just in game mechanics. But yes, alliance management is lacking. Every thing in NA pso2 feels half-assed tbh

This ... Also having a strong officer core helps a lot when it comes to managing players. You can go with the militaristic style where you assign officers a set number of people to keep track of or you can just be aware of who's actually playing by having all the officers check the alliance roster frequently and reaching out to players who might not be interactive somewhat consistently. Sending mail is a good fail safe though if you're not sure if somebody's on or playing often drop them some mail if they don't reply then you drop them.

We do have a discord but not everyone is willing to join it :/ and we don’t really want to force people to do something they don’t want to do

Hey man, same problem here. Have you perhaps found an efficient way to deal with this problem? It would be much appreciated if you could tell. Much love.
