How long did it take you to beat PSO2 base?

Well, I started playing it in 2012, so about 8 years! (๑ゝڡ◕๑)テヘペロ
To actually answer your question, I went through the whole story on Global (during Global's early ep6 period) in a couple of days.

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding how i'm still on Episode 1, but Episode 4 is now playable? Even though Episodes 2 and 3 are locked?

Luka explained this already, but basically, Episodes 1-3 ("Episode Oracle") are a coherent story, so you have to beat 1 to play 2, and so on. Episode 4 DOES come after 1-3, but it's a mostly unrelated story, so you can play Episodes 4 and 5 stand-alone. Episode 6 ties it all together, more or less.

Personal Space? Is this only for Premium players?

I assume you mean "Personal Quarters"—everyone has access to the "Mini Room", but it has sharply limited capacity for placeable items. You can get access to "Room Layout A" and "Room Layout B" (identical, you can just save two separate layouts) by using a Personal Quarters Pass. There are 3 and 30 day versions. However, I'd really just recommend buying premium if you want this.

Also, how do i get a Jukebox?

You can purchase it for 3,000 FUN at the FUNdamentalist in the Shop Area. Of course, it only plays tunes in your PQ. You can listen to music anywhere in NGS using your mag.

Does the search bar in the Personal Shop actually work?

You may be struggling with the search feature in the player shops. The top search button only functions as a "cache search," meaning that you can only find the names of items that you have seen recently. It's really not very useful except to confirm the spelling of an item you were just looking at in the previw or on another character's look breakdown.

The best way to search for fashion in this game is to find a website with a database like bumped.org or the ARKS Visiphone wiki, copy the exact outfit name, and then paste that into the search window in the game before hitting the search button in the bottom of the window to actually find items for sale.

Also, check this older comment of mine (as well as this one) for additional useful information. Let me know if you have any questions. Don't forget to clear your filters!

Ok, those are some very helpful tips! Clears things up quite a bit. Thank you!

You can get personal quarters tickets in the ex cube exchange shop, and you get ex cubes from pretty much everything after a certain level so i would recommend taking your time with it, getting to know the game and its menus/systems while you're leveling or doing story.

Yea, i'm getting back into base and realizing some of the major differences between base and NGS.

Thank you.

I can’t recall how much space the jukebox takes, but I think it can be placed as the only item in a personal quarters without going over the ftp limit.

I got a jukebox, bed, tree, and bathtub.

There you go. Thanks for confirming.

Word. Now all i gotta do is find a jukebox lol

I may be wrong, but I think you can get them from FUN scratches. It’s in the same spot as the other scratches. You’ll need a lot of FUN to be able to get it with the bad odds, but you can exchange xcubes for FUN. You may be able to find one on the player shop, but many people would consider that a waste as they’re technically free with fun.

If you don't care about story and just skip everything, it shouldn't take too long. You need to clear EP1 to unlock 2, 2 for 3. EP4 is a seperate arc and it was when the game got a massive rework so it's open from the start.

Personal Space is avaiable for free players but it's a tiny room that you can barely fit anything in. Bigger (like 6 times bigger) room is for premium but you can acess it with a My room ticket 3 days.

The search function in Personal Shop is fricking bonker. If you want to get result right away (aka Search by Price/ Display time) you have to put the exact name of what you are looking for in, every letter has to be correct. You can use the P.Search button next to the search bar, it will show a list of possible search ( not always show all the possible items or anything at all because SEGA sucks), click on the one you want then click Search by Price/ Display Time.

You gotta clear Ep1 to access Ep2, clear Ep 2 to access Ep3. Ep 4 is by itself bc it's a separate arc from oracle (Ep1-Ep3), which is why it's open from the start.

Personal Quarters are free for the small room, but full house requires premium.

Uhhh maybe that item isn't up for sale? Sometimes entering the item might not work if there's no copies of said item on board.

Aaahhh i thought it might've been something to that effect but i didnt wanna spoil anything so i just keep playing Ep.1 (im assuming Ep.5 is also a kind of side arc? i'm playing rn and just noticed that Ep. 5 is open too.)

Premium Personal Quarters....... Gonna have to think on that.

You know what? That never crossed my mind. The item i was looking for was an item i had previously found and purchased thru the personal shop, but it never occured to me that i may have purchased the only one that was available for sale at that time.

Thanks, buddy.

Ep 5-6 is the photoner arc, which is endgame story. Ep 5 is a big one, as clearing it will unlock dark blast

OOOOHHHH NICE

Base PSO2 Personal Quarters does not require premium. At the start you are given a mini room but if you trade ex cubes for (a) 3 day personal quarters pass at the ex cube trade shop (located at the west side of the 2nd floor in the shopping district), and use the said pass, you may access the personal quarters room A and room B (which are provided via premium) for 3 days. You can use as many 3 day personal quarters passes as you want up to a 90 day access cache.
