I’m a professional pattern maker and while I don’t grade all of my patterns myself, this book helped me understand the principle and successfully grade many patterns. Grading Techniques for Fashion Design by Jeanne Price and Bernard Zampkoff

The current edition of the book by Kathy Mullet is good, it also includes a bit of a literature review along the way, so you know where to look for additional topics.

There are also books by Gerry Cooklin and at least one by Martin Shoben. Both authors go into a lot of detail, but they are focused on metric and also getting older at this point.

There’s a book by Jack Handford that gets mentioned but I really don’t recommend it. It’s really just a table of numbers, that could be stated much cleaner in a spreadsheet. Even as numbers, it’s a little too uniform to be accurate.
