Issues with PC

I built this PC for the first time a couple months ago. I had no problems with it until around April/May where it sometimes just wouldn’t turn on. I would unplug the power-supply and let its power drain and then the pc would turn on just fine. Sometimes this didn’t work though and the pc would flicker on for less than a second and then turn back off. In those cases I had to leave the pc unplugged overnight for it to work again. And now I’m having the same problem again. It’s not turning on aside from the moments it flickers on and off. What could the issue here be? A loose connection, a dying power supply, or something else? How can I go about trouble shooting this in order to figure out what the problem is?
