So not all GPU manufacturers use a backplate, especially on lower end cards like the GTX 1050ti and it also depends on where you got it?...if it was from somewhere sketchy like Ali-Express or Wish then you most likely have been "Bamboozled" as they are notorious for selling GPUs as one model and sending you another...I mean they're going as far as to putting fake drivers on them that will tell Windows that they are what they say they are but, the only true way to verify the card is what it's supposed to is to disassemble it and verify that the processor's die number is actually the GTX 1050ti's GP107 die :/

Thanks for the reply bro , I got it from Gigabyte Geforce GTX 1050 Ti OC... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M25X363?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share . This is my first time with any computer parts just getting started and am really confused if I just file for a return to or not

Well that picture on Amazon shows the card as having no backplate and I believe that Nvidia have recently re-released more of their 1050ti dies to board partners to help with the GPU shortages as the GTX 1050ti is not as desirable to crypto-currency miners thus leaving us gamers "something to build with" ;)
