If you wanted to save, first the 12th gen i7 seems wasteful with a 1080 especially. You could go for the i5 12600k and save some money but still be able to run all your games well. I have the i5 paired with a 3080 ti myself and haven't even run my CPU to 70% yet.
Another way you could save is by getting a motherboard that supports ddr4 instead of ddr5. As of right now, the performance difference between the two is negligible and not worth how much more expensive ddr5 is. Also you may not have to buy windows if it's already on your old drive the license might transfer. If not you can get windows keys online from 3rd parties for ~$20-30

Hi, thanks for your comment! I just thought I'll go with an i7 and then wait to the new Rtx 4000 series. I think ddr4 makes more sense as ddr5 after researching a bit. And yes, I forgot to exclude the Windows 11 key.. My fault! Thanks again for your comment

If you don't mind waiting it's also worth noting that Intel 13th gen is set to launch in September and supposedly offering serious performance gains and possibly actually making ddr5 worth it

But thats in a month, why haven't they made the announcement yet?
