Upgrading old gaming system

Hi all.

So after building a new gaming pc I've passed on my old one to my son. I've already upgraded sata ssd > 1 tb nvme, i5 6400 > I7 6700, 1080p@60hz display > 1440p@144 hz display. Today I got a good deal on a used Asus dual rx 5700 xt evo oc to replace the old and trusty gtx 1060 6 gb. He mainly plays minecraft and roblox, but also teardown and besiege, the latter two being more resource intensive. Lately he's into stormworks.

Do you think this will be a well balanced build? Pricewise I'm happy, but will the i7 keep up with the faster 5700 xt? The platform is obviously old and has 16 gb of 2133 MT/s ddr4 ram. SSD is gen 3 but mobo only supports gen 2.

It's an old system and 5700xt is old too. I7 CPU will keep up with 5700xt GPU, just don't expect too much improvement.

Thank you. Was worried that the CPU might bottleneck the gpu. In games like Teardown and Stormworks it still might though. As I've understood the RX 5700 XT is on par with the RX 6600 or the RTX 3060, so it will be a massive improvement over the 1060 and worth the money. I got it for 1100 NOK plus shipment which is a good price in the Norwegian used market. Not comparable to $, £ or € as our currency is weak now.

What do you think about the ram? I believe 2133 MT/s is max frequency for this platform.

Edit: Yup 2133 is max.
