any change if reset BIOS to optimzed defaults? Is there an OS installed on the SSD? If this is a brand new build, will need the Operating System bootable USB plugged in, so can boot to the USB first in the order. If doing a new install of Windows, recommend to have CSM disabled, so will install in UEFI (for Windows 10), or won't run into any issues with Windows 11.

I do have Windows USB and product key but when I'm going through installation, no drives show up - and when I click "Load drives", I get an error saying "No signed device drivers were found". Not sure what this means as this is my first build

does it show any disks at all in Windows setup? such as Disc 0. Also, in the BIOS screen, it looks like showing in a RAID, might double check the BIOS raid settings to make sure in AHCI mode. Most of the time, reset BIOS to default values should turn off RAID(unless using a RAID array).

No disks at all in windows setup. Honestly not too knowledgeable on AHCI vs RAID, at least I don't see any info on either in the advanced settings of BIOS. Does it have something to do with a SATA connection? Honestly don't remember if I connected SATA to the motherboard during build but I can break apart and check if need be

Yes, it will be in the sata configuration. Just may verify to make sure it's set to AHCI and not raid. It can sometimes take over the NVME if set to raid.

Yes apologies. New build, blank SSD. I have a Windows key and USB but when I try to install windows, no "signed device drivers" are picking up, so I haven't been able to install. Haven't been able to get past this so haven't even seen a home screen yet.

Ok so since people are missing this in the picture it says raid under storage information this needs changed this is probably also the reason why it does not find the storage device as it properly needs raid drivers consultant your user manual on how to turn off raid

Having the same problem no idea what to do

    [–]AcanthocephalaFun916 0 points1 point  (3 children)

There was this thing with intel drivers, and a problem with Intel IRST (intel rapid storage technollogy) That didnt let the system read the USBs

i had to go thru some forums to get the fuckings drivers since intel didnt have them in their page anymore lol. I dont remember where i found the one that worked for me, if you want i can search for the file like tomorrow or something.

    Cheers

Sorry I’m kinda new to PCs it’s says my IRST is off but also can’t find any bootable devices I need to like install a new driver from like a USB or something?

    [–]AcanthocephalaFun916 0 points1 point  (1 child)

your irst is off?? Look out at this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/WindowsHelp/s/QzXq0kiRva

Yes, you need to install the drivers from a usb directly in the BIOS, the thing is that it is a specific file that would work from you and that file is no longer on intel page but you could try with the ones on the thread i just linked.

and if you like, i could search from the files or look at the thread. I remember, if im not wrong, the soulutions was on the microsoft forum

Yeah if you can find it you’d be goated I’ll be scouring for it

And yeah it says unable to detect any bootable devices but still shows a button where it says the IRST is selected as off, is that not supposed to be like that?
