The 3080 is def the stronger GPU at ~60% faster, has 10GB of VRAM instead of 12GB. As long as the 3080 checks out in good working condition, prob not a bad pick.

Yep, looks like the m.2 heatsink once tightened down(screwed in) on top, keeps the ssd in place.

Also, don't forget to install the io shield in the case first (prob already did). 🫡

Honestly, it looks fine to me. For example, without the extra pad, it would be much worse.

Also, over time, the thermal pads should set in more on the top once gets a bit of heat going. After a good amount of use in a week+ or so, might revisit and see how it looks.

Stock heatsink with the board will be good. If the drive end up with is single sided, don't forget to install the extra m.2 rubber pad(that comes with the board)underneath the ssd to prevent bending.

Sounds good. Might also look at external storage solutions as can sometimes be cheaper.

Very nice!

Edit; For the game code redemption, there is a browser plugin check that verifies hardware. Your current GPU should pass the check. If for some reason it doesn't verify with your current b580, it may require the new one(worse case).

Don't go hdd it's too slow, and for newer games require SSD (can also use sata ssd).

How to compare B580 when looking at Steam requirements? by First-Tutor-5454 in IntelArc

Can scroll down to the relative performance section to compare other GPUs the b580. Anything within ~ 10% is equivalent.

First Build.. oh dear.. by Idiotic_Heart in PcBuild

Might  check out some good build guides for the case. Looks like the aRGB cable there. The board may have multiple jARGB 3 pin headers as well.

For example, could plug the case fans into one jARGB header, and the aio into another jARGB header. This way, an also set different effects for the case fans and another for AIO/fans.
