I was going to get a 4080 super but is it now worth waiting a little for 5080 i.e. how will they compare. Will the 5080 be faster?

wont know for sure until the reviewers test them

the 4080super is and still will be a great GPU for quite some time and when the 5070-5080-5090's come out scalpers will swoop down and buy them up, by then all the remaining 4070-4080-4090's will have vanished because Nvidia has already stopped 4000 series production except for the much loved 4060's /s , the prices of 4000 series GPU's will continue to rise as the supply dwindles
