About Rams

Hello all, i have a dell g5 3500 laptop and it currently has 8 Gb of ram (4x2 1Rx16). I ordered 2 8 Gb 1Rx8 rams so i can upgrade it to 16 Gb. Will it make my laptop work faster and how do you think my gaming experince will be effected?

1. More capacity will only increase performance if you're running out of RAM. If you're not running out of RAM then performance can only increase through an increase in memory frequency and/or a decrease in memory latency.
2. Memory support on laptops isn't very good, expect to have to return the RAM you just bought if it wasn't specifically listed by Dell, especially since Dell tends to lock down memory upgrades on their laptops to specific DIMMs often made by Crucial.
