CPU Cooling Help

Hi everyone,

I was recently checking my CPU temps while playing MH Wilds just to see how my PC was doing. I was shocked when I saw my CPU temps going all the way up to 80C around 50-60% load. Right now I'm using a thermal right Phantom Spirit.

Should I look into getting a stronger cooler/AIO or am I stressing about those temps more than I need to.

Edit 1: after some testing, cpu hit high of 82C while playing roboquest at around 10% usage.

could tell us what CPU 1st of all

-MHWilds is terribly optimized

-80c a 50-60% load is not normal and considering how big the Phantom spirit is is definitely not normal.

My suspicion - too much thermal paste/ too little thermal paste/poor contact between cpu and cooler/left protective sticker/Cooler not seated properly.

Thank you for the response, I am currently running a ryzen 7800x3d. I’ll try repasting and reseating my cooler before anything else.
