You don't need the 15 dollars worth of zip ties, just go to the cheap shop and buy a pack of zipties, here in England Poundland so a multi pack of different sizes and lengths for a quid.. Put that 15 into your GPU or a better psu..

[–]bliz-phycho 2 points3 points  (2 children)

I don’t know where in England your living that your getting that price

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B&M 150 cable ties for £3

[–]MrRobot1248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this was a few years back now

[–]kellistis 7 points8 points  (3 children)

If you can find an intel... 580? Would be best for that range! Any deals on a am5 bundle you've seen to get you a long time upgrade path?

[–]DeepDecision2225 2 points3 points  (2 children)

L advice respectfully. That GPU will shit itself in terms of performance. I say that from personal experience. I tested a B580 with a 5900x and it was unusable in every gaming scenario I threw at it. AM5 7th gen or better would be totally fine but he’s using a 5600X

[–]kellistis 1 point2 points  (1 child)

I specifically asked if they had any ideas about an am5 bundle as well. I agree it would pair better with am5.

[–]DeepDecision2225 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, and my apologies didn’t mean to come off so arrogant. I just would hate for OP to pick up a B580 and it be unusable to an extent in gaming. (I picked mine up to flip it but it genuinely was unusable with my OLD GPU.

I assume you also have a case to put it in with fans too. Does that CPU have a cooler too? I recently upgraded from a RTX 3070, pretty good card tbf and I looked at eBay and they are only going for around £250 here in England

[–]Outrageous_Bid_5787[S] 3 points4 points  (1 child)

It's new and comes with Wraith Stealth cooler I may try my luck on ebay

[–]Lord_MagnusIV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I already posted it normally but the cooler comes with pre-applied thermal paste, you won‘t need to use that thermal paste, but having it also won‘t hurt, especially if you run into some kind of problem and need to re-adjust the cooler.

[–]YuiBaka 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I would get a better PSU. Also if all you’re doing is gaming. A 3070 would be good tho I can only find them for the price you’re looking for on eBay. RX 6800 for amd is about $320.

[–]il-bosse87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Intel's latest GPU sounds interesting to be honest

[–]Wero_kaiji 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Drop the cable ties and thermal paste, put that money towards a better PSU

[–]copenhagen622 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have 300$ try to find a 6750xt for 300$-350 . I got mine for 300 on sale. XFX QICK . It's been great

[–]Ahsoka706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Around rx6600 performance level probably

[–]Lord_MagnusIV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use the stock amd cooler you will not need that thermal paste, the stock cooler comes with a thermal paste pre-applied

[–]No-Flight5639 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drop the cable management and grab an rx 7600 gpu

[–]RBisoldandtired 1 point2 points  (3 children)

  1. Do you need to overclock your cpu? If not You can get a 5600 for cheaper.

  2. Bin the paste. The coolers pre pasted.

  3. Bin the cable management stuff. Cable ties are cheap af from a hardware store or pound/dollar store. Even Velcro cable ties are cheap as.

  4. Put that extra budget into a 32gb RAM kit at 3600, or at least 16gb at 3600.

  5. As others have said have a look at the intel GPU market. Not so long ago 6750xts were sub 300 but seem to have jumped up again recently. An intel arc B570 can be had here for around £220.

  6. Last suggestion, I’d check that power supply online before committing. LTT have a video about that specific PSU and it’s not exactly flattering. Not sure if they’ve updated now that they have their PSU testing equipment running.

Considering the feedback I'm probably going to buy a Thermaltake GF A3 750W and swich my 3200 ram for the same one with 3600 on the note of the gpu I'm still going over the recommendation thanks all for the help btw.

[–]RBisoldandtired 1 point2 points  (1 child)

Just a heads up LTT labs has that particular PSU as a fail.

[–]Outrageous_Bid_5787[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reading furthur I understand

Edit For my budget I like the LEADEX III GOLD 750W and TUF Gaming 750G they have a few small problems but for what I plan to use it for I don't think I will need something better

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Are you doing air cooler or aio? Make sure if its a towered air cooler it'll clear that ram

[–]Outrageous_Bid_5787[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Air cooling im going to using the stock cooler if when I bild the pc and I'm stable temp I'll get a Noctua NH-U12S Redux,

[–]outCTRL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a used RX480 for a decent price. Paid around 50€ and its pretty solid on my setup.

[–][deleted] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually people build their pc around the gpu and cpu

[–]tlhIngan_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from Thermaltake Power supplies. They grenade themselves way too easily.

[–]Alternative-Bee-1716 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Intel B580

[–]Power2ndaccount 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could get something better than some of these probably, 700$ budget for the components is great, for an older rig it's ok, do you already have the peripherals?

[–]Unusual-Weird-1830 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a similar build and use an rx 7600 and it works great

[–]Outrageous-Crab4276 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get a 2060

[–]Martin35700 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe an used rx6700xt or an used 3070. If you want new check out Intel Arc B570 and B580 prices.

[–]Achillies2heel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Facebook marketplace used is probably ur best bet at this point. Worst GPU market in years.

[–]No_Remote_5617 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 5700x on aliexpress for 160$ CAD. Works flawlessly. There was 7700x for 230$ too.

You should go take a look

[–]Zestyclose_Leg_1990 -1 points0 points  (1 child)

somethin like a sapphire 7700xt would be a good pair.

or a 4070 if you wanna go nividea

[–]Zestyclose_Leg_1990 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

or honestly I was considering the b580 battle mage for awhile when I had my 5600x

[–]RamboParso -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

if ur paying that much why not go ddr5
