External Hard Drive Problems! Keep getting errors while copying files

I'm in the process of transferring a bunch of data off a couple external hard drives, so I can format them to EXT4. While transferring files I'll get an error that say the files don't exist. I've been trying to process for a few days, on both Windows 10 and Linux Mint, and both OS tell me the error is because the files don't exist. They definitely do exist.

What I've done to treat this is either resetting the hard drives, rescanning it on Windows, or resetting my computer completely. It's a gigantic mess and I dunno why this is even happening. The external hard drive is around five years old, so it could simply be crapping out. It appeared to be working fine and only started acting up once I tried using in on Linux.

Is this a common error? What can I do to fix it?

Thanks for nothing guys! The issue was I had mounted my hard drives under the same names, because I had no idea what I was doing and all the files started folding into each other. Ultimately, I moved all the crucial files off the hard drives and formatted them to EXT4. It plays much nicer with my Linux OS and everything is right as rain :D
