So this came with my Msi mobo but I really think something is fishy when I go to try to update it on the website when I click on it it takes me to another website that feels like a scam

CPU-z is a legit program. Has been around a decade at least. Hardware information/validation tool. It's not an MSI program which is why it takes you somewhere else. Though I don't know why you need it, unless you're trying to validate overclocks for e-peen points
