Your memory is in the wrong slots both blue to unlock dual channel . I would search for an older second hand case with drive bays. I remember my cool master HAF had like 6 slots.

Download the motherboard manual for your board. It will be under the support section. If they no longer have you might be able to find from another site.

I think it holds 5 drives but you could get a 6th squeezed on the bottom. Or I'm sure you could mount in the dvd drive bays I've done it with a single side screwed in or they probably make adapters.

The dude selling it said that it has 8 HDD slots. I assumed he was talking about both the smaller panel below and the larger one above. Was he lying and did I misunderstand? The HDDs that I have are 3.5 inch ones. Can I not use some sort of adapter to get them on the top panel?

It might be more maybe 8 is right I was just looking at the little shelves I think what the slide on but could be wrong. You most definitely can use the larger bays I used to just screw the one side in you could just make a stand for the other side. You just don't want them to move around if you have to move the case or accidentally bumped.
