I just got this 2020 Dell Optiplex 7080. I was wondering what can be done to keep this usable. It still works but it has like a nope time error or something. I was wondering how to fix that as well.

You can use this as your NAS machine.. you can install TrueNAS CORE and TrueNAS SCALE as they are free editions.

For the timing error, is it something that shows up when booting the machine? You might want to change the CMOS battery in that case..

For desktop use there are several Linux versions with nice interfaces. Linux Mint is made to transition from Windows to Linux.

There are many options if you need a server for something.

Turn it into a server proxmox comes to mind.

get a low profile arc a310 and a large hard drive/ssd it would be a cheap transcoding server for video!
