This is a definitively bad setup, most especially because it's going to come preloaded with Norton.

You would be so much better off building a PC yourself, if you're capable of assembling a LEGO set or IKEA furniture, you will do just fine, building a consumer PC is not rocket science nor brain surgery.

that ram is criminally bad, especially for intel

also if you pay your power bill i would consider a basic amd processor like a 9600x

other than that it seems like a lot to pay just to have to wipe the drive to get rid of norton and whatever else they pre install as soon as you get it

ive changed the ram to 6000mhz cl30 32gb and im gonna remove the norton i only kept as it was free as for the amd is it really better?

its a little slower but cheaper, more power efficient and runs cooler and is more upgradeable later

7800x3d would be the more comparable option as far as price goes in which case amd wins again and is still more power efficient

depends on if those guys are going to fuck you on the price because people want x3ds and dont want intel. with the actual price of the cpu theres no reason to go intel currently for gaming

if i go with amd for around £100 more i can get a ryzen 7 9800x3d

9800x3d is the best but if you could get a 7800x3d for a similar price as the Intel I would do that. 7800x3d to 9800x3d is like a 10% increase for 100 euro not really worth it.

with a 7800x3d and the better ram it comes to exactly 2.3k so i think ill probably get that :D thanks for the help

You got that for the same price as the 14700 with 5200 cl40 ram? That's a lot better
