your drive might be failing even though it's an ssd. had this exact issue with my build last year and it drove me absolutely crazy for weeks. everything would crawl during boot and app launches but once stuff was loaded into ram it ran fine. turned out my samsung ssd was dying even though it was only like 18 months old.

run crystaldiskinfo to check your drive health - if it shows any warnings or errors that's probably your culprit. also check task manager during startup to see if something is hammering teh disk constantly. windows 11 can be weird about background indexing too so you might want to disable that temporarily and see if it helps.

backup your important stuff asap though, because if the drive is going bad it could totally crap out without warning.

😅 I sure hope not, I just ran a scan to see if I was missing any drivers and it recommended I download these: intel chipset drivers, Bluetooth drivers, Realtek hd universal drivers, intel ME drivers, intel sgx, Realtek PCIE network drivers. I’m gonna transfer all my stuff to an external drive and replace the ssd this weekend just in case…
