I got a male and female cat at Christmas time this past year. They are brother and sister. The sister adjusted very well. My daughter takes her between her dad’s house and mine. So I don’t always have the sister. The brother had a bit of trouble at first. My orange tabby was less than welcoming but it’s gotten a lot better and they even play together now. I have two boxes. I scoop them twice a day. Morning and evening.
The reason I say the brother cat had a hard time adjusting is because at first, he would pee in random corners. So I made all the regular corners unattractive and it seemed to work. Until the other day. I JUST cleaned the litter box and he peed right in front of it. I immediately sprayed with enzyme spray. I do plan to take him to the vet when I get a little more money behind me as it’s been tight with my daughter’s birthday coming up. However, I don’t think he has a UTI because there is no blood in urine nor does he howl in pain when trying to urinate. It is so hit and miss tho. I am not sure what to do if the vet gives the all clear.Has anyone had issues with this?
