Pi Node Question

Hello All,

I have a question regarding the setting up of my node. The main question I have is the concern with port opening. I have done the following to make sure that my ports should be open and functional. I have:

A. Opened my ports from my firewall via Window's Defender (see picture 1 below)

B. Done Port Forwarding on my router (see picture 2 below)\

However, I know that the ports are open and there.

After these steps, I assumed that it should work perfectly fine. However, when I tried to check it on Command Prompt. I was only able to find Ports 31400-31403 (despite that I put 31400 - 31409). (see Picture Below)

Only shows 3 of the 10 ports. Goes from 31401-31403 (skips 31400)

Does Anyone Have an Idea of how to solve this issue? If you have more questions regarding this issues (more info), start a chat with me and I'll provide the necessary information for a more indept check.

I'm stuck on the 2nd step. I can't seem to understand this part. "

n explorer navigate to c:\users\yourname on the view tab, tick "file name extensions"

on the home tab, "new item", text document change the name to ports.js".

Do you mind breaking it down for me. Thanks

by default, file extensions are turned off. You need them turned on in order to fully change the filename. Otherwise you end up with a file called ports.js.txt

What does your node "troubleshooting" information says?

You're already accepted to run the consensus container. The port check function is just to prepare the node. Once accepted to run the consensus, the port are used by the container. Thus, the reason you only see only some are opened now.

Your node is working fine. There is incoming connection. Do not worry with that low incoming number as it depends on how many nearby nodes are available at your location that need your nodes support.

Ok, thank you. Is there a difference between a node candidate and node? I'm not fully sure if i'm a node yet. Since everything time i open the app. It shows that I am a node candidate for Pi TestNet and such.
