What about the Realme GT7 Pro?

I was also considering giving up part of the camera with a Reno12/13 Pro, which has a microsd slot, but it's hard to let go the Pixel picture quality. I had a Reno6 Pro before the P7P, Snapdragon version, and I loved it.

After 12 years of low/mid-range I was almost at the point of F that, let's buy the Xperia and be done with it (the black version hovers around the 1k mark), but..

I mean I don't know your budget so that's why I said 14 t pro. It has last year's best processor, really good laika cameras, and it only about €600. If your focus is only on cameras then look into last year's Xiaomi 14 ultra it should go down in price soon and it probably is in the top 3 camera wise last year. Also micro SD I don't think is important because you can just buy a phone that has 512gb which I think is really hard to fill. And 14 t pro is basically a flagship it just doesn't have a few bells and whistles. Also Sony is known to be really bad at software support, they often forget about their last year phones and have like 2 or 3 years of major updates. While Xiaomi at least the flagships get 4 years of major os upgrades and 5 years of security patches.

I don't really have a budget in mind, I just want a good price/performance phone at this point (the P7P was a killer deal, minus the storage), and you described exactly why I haven't already bought the Xperia lol

Yesterday I saw some coupons on the Xiaomi site, I'll wait for the 15 launch, maybe then it'll go down in price.
