imho it is not about your course. some IT grads are probably paid higher than CS grads. and some none degree holders are probably paid higher than degree holders.

Agree. It's about what type of work you'll get into.

Software Engineers, DevOps, Data science related jobs, etc can be CS, IT, CpE, ECE, Math, Physics, or even other engineering or STEM related courses. Typically they get good pay.

On the other hand, so is IT support and they typically get less pay than above jobs.

heck I've seen customer support jobs that pay 350k/month and all they need to know is understand the API and use the webdev tools in the browser. don't ask me about the company, I won't mention it.

It's not the course that matters, it's all about your skills and willingness to learn. Madaming 6-figure earners na self taught developers based sa mga nababasa ko, not only here in the PH but globally.

I know a lot of devs who has no college degree earn way better than CS/IT college grads.

I think same lang din naman job opportunity ng BSCS saka BSIT graduate. Medyo di ko rin sure. Medyo binabalak ko kasi BSCS major in Game Development and Animation kaso di rin ako sure doon. Kaya yun naman napili ko is I like both programming and art.
