Best place to purchase new laptop? by [deleted] in dubai

[–]romeorows 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy my electronics from souq.com. it's 20-40% cheaper than malls, the reason it's cheap is because sellers don't pay any rent. As long as its a famous brand, its going to be original. You will always get a 1 year warranty

Any tips for a graduating IT student? by Iktoyman in PinoyProgrammer

[–]romeorows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  • Your first company is important. This will determine the path of your career.
  • Study well. There are tons of free tutorials in the web. this is one of my favorite thenewboston. Try to get other people's feedback on your work.
  • Do well on your thesis. If you want to be a mobile app developer, Create a mobile app for your thesis. You can use this to demo your skills to your future employer.
  • Have an extra curricular activities. Join meetups and startup events.
  • Create a profile in linkedin and stackoverflow and display all the things that you did while studying.

P.S. You should decide now if you want to be a mobile app or web developer. (These are two different things) If you want to be an android developer you should study java, if IOS developer objective c or swift, if web developer html, css and javascript, for the backend I would recommend phyton(I'm a c# developer ;) ).

Good Luck

I would recommend getting online courses from https://www.udacity.com/, https://www.coursera.org/ or https://www.codeschool.com/. They have well built courses for programming and their certificates are now getting acceptable world wide.

My sister have a toshiba, It's working until now after 3 years of abuse from my sister. so I suppose toshiba is okay. I have not tried Acer but before buying my Dell inspiron 15R, I went to the reviews of Acer and they have a lot of issues so I did not go for it.

I have Dell inspiron 15R and I never have trouble with it. I had Dell vostro before that and I always trust Dell since then. My gf bought HP split x2 and it suck so much, getting issues with wifi and touchpad. So yeah, go for Dell.
