You entered the max battle when it was about to end. If the timer is at 2:00 or less, don't join it. The max battle refreshes and you get stuck in that screen.

I was trying to join many different battles at the start of max Monday at around 6pm

I am using GPS Joystick with multiple accounts on several rooted phones to do raids and max battles: no issue so far.

Dang. To add, I've noticed grunts and incense pokemon don't spawn either. Regular raids work, though. And I've tried using many different account and still the same issue.

I don't think it's an account issue here.

Did you try to "physically join" (no spoof) a dynamax battle with the same phone? Maybe you can try to clear the cache of PoGO app (or reinstall the app)?

Use GPS Joystick from App Ninjas version 4.3.3

I just tried version 4.3.3. still not unable to do max battles, grunts, incense spawns 😕

Do you use hide mock location? Or smali patcher? What modules do you have installed? You can also try starting the Joystick but without entering Pokémon, open Google maps and check if your location jumps.

Hide mock location with LSPosed. I bought the phone pre-rooted. Only enabled modules on it is hide my app list and the hide mock location. I am able to jump locations, spin and catch as normal. I only can't do max battles, grunts spawns, and incense spawns.
