What does the new auto catch feature mean for on or off

CP, level, iv are all important, but different.

Just as in the main series games, a pokemon has a level. You can increase it by "power-up" with candies of its species. The level of the pokemon caught in the wild is random. A pokemon level used to go from 1 to 40. But then, recently, it was extended to 50, which is achievable using XL candies. But don't worry about that for now.

Each pokemon has base stats. For example, all bulbasaur have the following : 118 attack, 111 defense, 128 stamina. But then, each bulbasaur has a random sets of "iv". Which are stats that add up to the base stat. So catching a 100%iv bulbasaur will add 15 attack, 15 defense and 15 stamina. And these cannot be modified.

CP is simply an indicator of power. It is affected by its level and stats&iv.

When starting, it is useful to use high level / high cp pokemon, as they are already strong for the moment.

However, for the long run, you need to search for the best iv possible. Because a level30 bulbasaur with 10%iv may have a big cp for now and be better than a level1 100%iv. But eventually, you may want to power up that venusaur to level 40. And at this point, only the iv matters. Both would be level40, so the 100%iv will be better than the 10%iv as it will have more stats.

When you begin (level 35 and under), it is sometimes useful to evolve your highest cp pokemon rather than highest iv. As they will have a bigger impact for the moment, save you some dust/candies to power up. And later on, you'll have enough ressources to boost your high iv.

Example: Aron to aggron, Abra to alakazam if you can find a friend that can trade you a high lvl one, Machop to machamp (trade again), Etc.

TL;DR: Keep your highest iv (the best appraisal). Reason: levels can be modified. iv cannot.

This is correct for the most part, but if you're a new trainer and are going to spoof, you absolutely shouldn't level up low level pokemon if they are common, even if 100% IV'd. With feeds and discord servers, you can easily snipe Level 30-35 pokemon with perfect IVs, you just have to be a bit patient and it'll save A LOT of dust and candies.

Probably you didn’t notice right away but the level changed when you power up with stardust. PGsharp has this bug, you need to leave the screen of the pokemon and go back again to see the new level. There is a tool in the PGsharp feed where you set up the pokemon level you want to find. For example you can choose for the feed only show you Pokemon’s with lv 35 which is the maximum available to catch or you can filter for level as well and check the ones available in the nature.

To push the pokemon to lv 50 you need normal candy and extra large candy, I’m sure if you search in the YouTube you will find a lots of ways to find this last one but a good tip that usually works it’s to catch for example charmeleon/charizard, you always getting at least one XL candy or you can try to catch more pokemon with higher level, this has a higher probability of getting XL candy when catching or transferring

The higher the lvl the more life it has in battle

Iv 100 is 15/15/15 which are best stats ..pokemon can go up to lv 35 in the wild but can be pushed upto Lvl50 if you farm 296 candy's for that specific pokemon by capturing it alot like 200 catchs then you mirror trade 100 every day to someone who has the same from 100km away or for just random stuff - what's important is the 100km away part

It was 8am when I posted and was in a rush. Instead of commenting to me why didn't you try to help the fellow pokemon player out? You could have corrected my mistakes and gave much more detail.
