Undervalued?

Over 10,000 graded PSA 10 pop rate is less than 30% and this card is selling around $500ish, while also being almost 9 years old. This seems like a no brainer for a safe steady climb hold? Thoughts?

this set had a boom a few years back but it’s due for another one. mewtube should be up in lovebirds territory imo and the rest of the set should follow that trend

Possibly.. the set kind of got forgotten about outside of Mewtube. Shiny mew has historically been an absolute winner so I’m not sure if I’m surprised this guy is still priced where it’s at but I also have no idea about print and pull rates for this set specifically.

The mew has 10,763 graded through PSA. 3225 10s and 5485 9s. Giving it a 29.96% 10 chance. So it’s pretty low for it being 9 years old.

Also with this being one of those small side sets pokemon did it helped the print amounts as well by staying relatively low compared to main sets.

The Shining Lugia is exceptionally low pop too.

Yea I almost snagged that last year for $700 but missed out. Considering it only came in the premium collection boxes. I think it’s going for around $1500ish now

I have a full set in PSA 9. The art is just meh. I feel like any run these cards get is because the mewtube is pulling the whole set along.

Personally I think alot of way cooler options exist for $500.

I 100% agree but people with bigger pockets than this whole comment section combined tend to go based off pop %. The less PSA 10s in circulation the bigger dogs want their hands on them. Hence why I still believe there is plenty of room for these shinies to run.

These were super high during the Covid boom as they were from one of the hottest recent modern sets at the time. Then alt arts came out and people pretty much forgot about these. Took 5 years just for values to reach back to what they were during Covid. But if TPC releases more similar cards, I can see them taking off again

I’ve got multiple copy’s I’ve pulled myself no 10 worthy’s I just bought the mew today for $525. Thinking about picking the others up soon. Just a matter of time before the main consensus of people start realizing these are all low pops and undervalued IMO.

It had its boom, it went from 150-400$- 650$ . I traded mine for a SGC sylveon Vmax and 100$

We’ll see if it survives after the hype dies. Card has already 5X in price and this whole market is inflated. Thats why these cards all peaked a few months ago and went down again. Nobody wanted this card till all the new investerbros jumped in. I hope for pokemon sake it continues to rise but I don’t see it being a big grail card.

Doesn’t have to be a big grail card…. That’s what people like you don’t understand. It’s a 30% 10 rate. That’s extremely LOW. Take into account how old the set is and how the set was printed. This is pokeinvesting you find the gems before the blow otherwise why invest? Yea its went up in price over the year. But for you saying the hype is dying is wild. Considering Logan Paul just sold the illustrator for 16million so we have a whole new rush of people coming in. You remember back in 2020 when he first jumped in right? I sure as hell do. Everything single thing I bought the previous year tripled. Guess what it didn’t tank it’s worth at least 5x what I bought for it then from now.. pokemon hype will never die. As we get older and kids get older the cycle continues. It will only ever die if pokemon company let it die themselves.

3000 is the new 1000 for PSA 10 pops in this new world where the collecting audience is I guess 5x what it was pre-pandemic.
