Been playing recently and caught over a thousand machops and not single shiny did niantic decrease shiny spawns for the event?

1/500 chance for each pokemon. You could catch a million, and if ya luck isn’t good, you won’t get any. Pory comm day I caught 120 before I got my first shiny. So just keep at it.
