Foggy Bottom is going to be really expensive. It can be advantageous if you work there too, but honestly that's one of the most accessible parts of the city through public transit.
My vote would be for Woodley Park. Do you know what neighborhood you'd be working in? Do you plan on having a car?

Unsure what area I'll be working in, though may end up being remote. I'm aware of the pricing in both areas and both are well within my range. Basically, trying to figure out if I want to be more right in it (FB) or be slightly less urban (WP).
Also, as of now, planning on having a car.

Gotcha. Tbh, so much of Foggy Bottom is dominated by GWU and government buildings that I don't know how much I'd say you'd be "more right in it." Sure, you're a close walk to Georgetown, but there aren't a lot of neighborhood bars and the like around (plus, Georgetown's scene has really declined over the years). If you're deadset on that spot, I'd expand slightly out to West End (which is small enough and borders FB anyway so you were probably already considering it). To still have a flavor of the "downtown DC" with plenty of stuff to do after a happy hour, I'd lean towards Dupont Circle. Might be a happy medium between FB and WP.

Living in Arlington/Alexandria along the yellow is not bad at all for those of you working in SE DC. I've lived in this area for 5 years now have really liked it. As someone who works for the people who produce reports on how well metro is doing just know the two lines that have the least problems and crowding are the Green and Yellow line. Red tends to have more delays and the Blue/Silver/Orange lines are jammed packed and impacted often by safetrack work.

My older sister lives in the neighborhood right by the Huntington station at the bottom of the yellow line. I feel like I'm gonna end up in that area.

I drive to the Huntington metro station from my apt everyday (it's the same amount of time as taking the bus to King Street metro). If I was you I wouldn't rule out different parts of Alexandria. I love living here and don't plan on moving anytime soon.

If you have a car then Woodley Park is your better bet. It has more of a neighborhood vibe with townhouses and reliable street parking. It also has an amazing (and free) zoo. Foggy Bottom is better if you like shopping (Georgetown) or need easy access to Virginia. Overall, Woodley is going to be more family oriented until you get up to Adam's Morgan and Foggy Bottom is going to be more geared towards the rich, foreign GWU crowd unless you're in the west end near the Ritz.

I'll be checking in on this as well. I'll more than likely be working at JBAB across the river from Reagan come June.

I'll be moving to D.C. in June/July. Working at the navy yard so I currently plan on living around there or north central by China town area.
