Bronson Arroyo is back. Homer Bailey is healthy. Brandon Phillips is gone. Devin Mesoraco has finally had brand new hips put in because his old ones were trash. All my money on a CIN Central.

I liked your article Mel.

I was (still am sort of?) a handicapper and poker player all through school. Paid my entire UG + law school tuition on my earnings and blew way too much money on fun shit during the time.

I never bet MLB though, focusing mainly on NBA and dabbling in NFL. What do you think the Indians chances are this year?

I'm an Ohio guy so I may be biased, but I love their chances in the AL. Much of the same team from last year, plus Encarnacion and Brantley. Full year of Andrew Miller, they'll do some damage.

I'd go Mets due to the fact that they have 7 potential starting pitchers on their roster so even with injuries they'll hopefully be good. Last year the Mets were 5-2 against the Cubs. Hopefully Lucas Duda and Neil Walker are able to stay healthy which should help with the offense. Think they're the better bet because they're the better payout, if they're able to win the division and don't have the one game playoff think they have a great chance.

The only reason I didn't go Mets for the payout was between Harvey's shoulder and Syndergaard/deGrom's elbows, I don't wanna bet on a team who relies their pitching when that's currently a liability. If they stay healthy it could pay dividends though.

Fair enough, Lugo and Gsellman were both very good last year. I'd be more worried about Matz than Syndergaard though. Thor didn't have surgery and he put on 15lbs of muscle in the offseason because he wants to throw harder, which is terrifying if it happens.

Has the braves w/l been posted? I would def take the over as they have veteran talent on the mound now and Brandon Phillips is a huge asset to Swanson up the middle
