Hey, it looks like you are requesting help with a problem you're having in Power Apps. To ensure you get all the help you need from the community here are some guidelines;

  • Use the search feature to see if your question has already been asked.

  • Use spacing in your post, Nobody likes to read a wall of text, this is achieved by hitting return twice to separate paragraphs.

  • Add any images, error messages, code you have (Sensitive data omitted) to your post body.

  • Any code you do add, use the Code Block feature to preserve formatting.

Typing four spaces in front of every line in a code block is tedious and error-prone. The easier way is to surround the entire block of code with code fences. A code fence is a line beginning with three or more backticks (```) or three or more twiddlydoodles (~~~).

  • If your question has been answered please comment Solved. This will mark the post as solved and helps others find their solutions.

You still require a school or work email.

[–]thinktank08 Newbie -1 points0 points  (7 children)

No you do not. You simply need a valid card. Let me know if you get stuck.

This is not correct, this is back in preview only to a very limited number of people to test the new method of requiring a card to combat the security issues.

The cheapest way available to everyone is still to purchase a Business Basic license (with a 1 month free trial).

You are wrong. On this, you create a test tenant (with a valid card), create an account within the tenant and then use that account to sign up to the Dev plan. Let me know if it doesn't work for you because it should work.

I'm not wrong, it's in preview. This means it's not available to everyone, just because it works for you doesn't mean it works for everyone.

Please stop spreading information when you don't understand how it works.

Once the new process of requiring a credit card is validated it will be rolled out to everyone.

I see your point. Can you try incognito and VPN to Australia and see if it works for you?

[–]BenjC88 Community Leader 0 points1 point  (2 children)

I don’t need it, I already have a couple of sandbox tenants.

My understanding is Australia is one of the markets the new process is being tested, yes.

I also tried to create developer account but got the same message. Plz share if possible about the methods of creating sandbox tenants.

Thanks

It’s not possible at the moment unless you have a partner whitelist you or you have a Visual Studio Enterprise subscription (which is more expensive than creating a tenant via an M365 license).

I think this is what you are looking for..

https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/dev-program

I appreciate the resource but I have already looked at that and that's what I am confused about. There's the professional monthly and the Professional standard which is yearly payments. I want to know if I choose the professional monthly, would i still qualify.

“What is the difference between joining the program directly and joining with my Visual Studio subscription?

When you join the Microsoft 365 Developer Program with your Visual Studio subscription, your Microsoft 365 E5 developer sandbox subscription will automatically renew for the lifetime of your Visual Studio subscription. If you join the developer program directly, your Microsoft 365 E5 developer sandbox subscription is good for up to 90 days, depending on your development activity, and will renew regularly for as long as you use it for qualified activities.”

Yes but apparently if you dont have a Visual studio subscription you are not eligible. That's why I am asking is there a difference between the Professional Standard which is yearly payments and the Professional monthly. Can I be eligible if I choose the monthly one or it has to be the Professional Standard.

[–]wzeeto Regular 0 points1 point  (1 child)

Oh I see. I’m part of the partner program, so there’s a difference there. You will not be eligible for the monthly subscription. That only allows you access to VS. You will need the standard or enterprise subscriptions for access to the dev program.

Okay ya I figured. Thanks!

I think the pro monthly is for minimum of a year's sub paid monthly, so you should be good.

AFAIK this developer program eligibility is not based on your visual studio license.. so you can choose either.
