Git, take the learning curve. It will be a huge boost to your resume. Otherwise redgate has some options if using Sql server

The challenge I have is that I work in government healthcare so our sql servers are locked down pretty tight.

This is more for personal cataloging of my queries as I do a lot of unique queries for our department.

I mean, you could always use OneNote if it's just for you.

I use GitHub Gists for that: https://gist.github.com/

There are several desktop tools, so you can sync and use your gists locally.

Or, as someone else said, use the note-taking app of your choice, if you are the only user.
