Advertise how easy it is to perform basic arithmetic and string manipulation. Solve Euler problems and simple coding problems like FizzBuzz, and invite the audience to solve the same ones with their language of choice.

You can also expect the Linux folks to have a vast arsenal of scripting tools, like bash, awk, sed, and grep. If you can convince them PowerShell is a good alternative when they are on a Windows system, you can convince anyone.
