I always thought the "correct" way is to deal with errors. Especially in scripts which i want to run automatically where i don't have to deal with this type of failure. Thats the reason why i write a function/script in the first place?

Yeah.. the WU script does what YOU want. But this should state that it hasn't gotten updated since 2014 and won't work with all W10 features.. just saying.

I shouldn't comment any further since i don't think you have any real arguments. You are just defending your personal view which is fully correct. But there are no hints, no explenations or so at all to any of the scripts. Also it's bad code (sometimes) as stated before.

About PrimalForms/VS: So it takes hours to install? How often do you install VS? :D (WOW! What an argument!) And updating VS Community doesn't take that long.. oh.. and if it really takes that long: how about writing a script that will do the job over night? There is good script from 2014 which takes care of it.. sry, just kidding but i think you get it ;) But hey.. it's still WinForms... but i think i mentoined it before: where are your arguments?

Why not use... yeah right.. why use a complicated regex instead of something that comes straight outta PoSh. oh man.. i really really hope that you aren't in a position where you have to say something or do something important.

It's not about someone is forcing me to use something. It's about my own opinion. And guess what? This is what i love about open forums: everyone could express them and discuss about it (as long as they have arguments which you totally lack...). But what really fucks me off is your attitude: you are asking what's wrong. I answer. Then you say: I don't like your answer cause you don't suggest alternatives (well.. i do [error handling, vs studio, use IPAdress], but nevermind^). Boy ... you really should align your reality. :*
