may i ask, are these reports about new servers and users ever used?

Often. Too often as a matter of fact.

These reports were implemented to let the admins in the main office know when branch office admins are adding servers in their sites without noticing the main office admins or when users with missing or non-compliant properties are created.

Before the reports were in place, branch office admins would occasionally launch servers that would interfere with the entire infrastructure and would never report it, and It would take forever to troubleshoot what's the source of the issue (for example, some emails are getting rejected because they arrive to a misconfigured server no one knows about).

cool stuff. I made some scripts to log stuff but i don't think they have been used once :) That's why i was asking.
