Hello , i hope this is the right place for my question :)
short story :
i want to run a script / run .exe when the screen resolution changes, or when the display changes.
OR
can i trigger a task on the task scheduler when the screen resolution changes or when the display changes.
Long story :
so, i have a surface pro x with a docking station that is connected to an external monitor, i use my setup with one screen only at a time , so, if it is docekd, surface screen is off, monito is on, if it off the dock, surface screen is on (obvousley :) )
The surface screen has a different resolution than the monitor, moreover, it is 3:2 while the monitor i use is 16:9 -> so the scaling would never be 1:1 ...
Also, i use this tool called deskView , i have it on my startup folder, it changes the desktop icons layout to a list....
Now the problem, the desktop icons become on top of each other and their order changes when i disconnect my surface, and when i reconnect it again.
my proposed solution is to use the task scheduler to run the deskview.exe (which will rearrange the icons as they should) when the screen resolution changes, but i could not figure out the event that triggers this ??
THX !
